Description
General:
A large fish, may have a light-colored body with a brown pattern (vs. images in Love, et al.). Juveniles may look like shortbellies (S. jordani). Could be confused with boccacio (S. paucispinus), but have a much smaller mouth. Look for the two front colored bars angled toward the head.
