General: Rare, compare to bocaccio (S. paucispinus), and chilipepper (S. goodei).

Size: to 73 cm



Geographic Information

Published depth range: 0 - 436, most common 100 - 300 m.

Ocean range (global): Gulf of Alaska to central Baja.

Habitat description: Benthic.
