Description

Size: to 41 cm

General: Blue-silvery with a series of black spots on the sides. Compare with Engraulis mordax (anchovy).



Geographic Information

Published depth range: 0 - 150 (maybe as deep at 246) m.

Ocean range (global): Indo-Pacific from southern Africa to the eastern Pacific.

Habitat description: Pelagic.
