Description

Size: to 91 cm

General: Head short. Pectoral fin tips usually reaching to or beyond the origin of anal fin. Caudal fin always concave. Color silvery on back grading to whitish ventrally.



Geographic Information

Published depth range: 0 - 1000 m. In California: 181 - 1205 m.

Ocean range (global): Eastern Pacific from northern Vancouver Island, Canada to northern part of the Gulf of California.

Habitat description: Demersal, pelagic.
