Grimpoteuthis

Description

General: Compare with Opsithoteuthis. Relatively long fins (used for robust swimming), elongate mantle and body. Species appear to be associated with the deep ocean floor in all oceans of the world.

Ocean range (global): Cosmopolitan.

Habitat description: Benthic, demersal.
