Careproctus longifilis

Alternate names: threadfin snailfish

Description

Size: to 16.2 cm

General: Dorsal-most pectoral fin is extremely elongated to almost twice the head length; letharic movements; a similar-looking species, Osteodiscus cascadiae, does not have elongate pectoral fins.

Habitat description: Demersal.

Published depth range: 1900 - 3334 m
